Our hostel here in Tamarindo, Costa Rica is set in a beautiful lush tropical garden with frequent visit from monkeys, iguanas, raccoons, and our famous Cat Simba!

We offer an assortment of private rooms to choose from, accommodating groups of anywhere from 2 to 5 people. Our rooms are always fresh with new orthopedic mattresses and clean sheets. Fresh towels included. All rooms have AC and Private rooms come with eith a shared or private bathroom Bathrooms are cleaned at least twice daily for your comfort.
Our hostel has the qualities of a hotel but with the added benefit of a social atmosphere and tons of fun activities to encourage surfers and backpackers to connect and form lasting friendships.

Dorm Rooms
Groups are encouraged to book entire dorm rooms. There are 6 Bed and 10 Bed. Air Conditioning runs from 9PM-9AM.
Each dorm bed has a private light, 2 AC plugs and 2 USB plugs to keep all of your devices up and running. In addition, there are private locker (you provide the lock),orthopedic mattresses, and plenty of shared bathrooms and hot showers for everyone.

Social Area
You will find people lounging in and around the pool all day and evening. Just cool down in the cool clean water, or work on you tan in one of the deck loungers. In addition, “The Rancho” provides a large shady area with fans designed to encourage comfortability and socialization. The structure is a huge rancho style area with rocking chairs, super fast wifi throughout and plenty of plugs for your electronics, as well as large poof pillows perfect for reading a book or catching up with friends. We also provide lots of gaming and entertainment options for you and your fellow travelers such as, fooseball, ping pong or beer pong, billiards, card games and board games.
Use our BBQ grill to create dinners with other hostel guests, or join our social evenings with roasted marshmallows, and smores. We have excellent and super fast Wi-Fi throughout the entire property and rooms.

As travelers ourselves we know that it is important to provide a fully equipped kitchen with all the necessities a traveling backpacker would need. In our spacious kitchen we have 3 fridges, 2 stoves, a blender to mix your smoothies, toaster, hot water kettle, various cooking spices, and a collection of pots, pants, knives and other utensils to make it easy to cook your own meals when you choose to here at the Casa Pura Vida .
We always keep the kitchen extremely clean and neat for you and are very eco friendly and mindful of our environment, which is shown in our efforts to recycle organic material, plastic, cans and glass.
